Penang - Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion

Nov 08, Visited the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion in Georgetown. Although I'm a Penangite, this was the first time to the mansion. Be at the gate at 11.00 am or 3.00 pm for a RM12, one & a half hour guided tour. During the tour, you will learn why this house has perfect feng shui.
While this mansion, dubbed "la Maison Bleu", is elaborate and reputed to be only one of two such buildings of this size outside China, the tour will only take you through the main house only because the rest of the house operates as a Boutique Home-Stay.
I am not sure if one will accumulate the good chi flowing through the house but a stay will definitely be an eerie experience.
The mansion is certainly worth a visit as a historical reminder of a past era. It is a story of 'rags to riches', of how Cheong Fatt Tze grew from being penniless to become "one of China's last Mandarins and 1st Capitalists".
